I empathize, insofar as I really don't like to watch new movies, preferring to re-watch movies I've already seen, which makes it tough to acquire new movies to re-watch. It also makes David want to strangle me sometimes.

But Hedwig is so so so so good! Yay! See it right now! This instant! Yay!

DFH, I did see it. I could see it again, though. This instant! Or some other instant when I'm not at work! Yay!

My problem isn't re-watching (although I do like to re-watch); it's that as soon as someone tells me airily that I absolutely must do something, I immediately and instinctively decide I don't want to do it. Also, the first person to tell me to see Hedwig was kind of a jerk and I usually refuse on principle to do anything that he may ever have told me to do.

I was in Santa Barbara when it was in theaters and we had to drive down to Ventura to see it (because, apparently, Ventura is more culturally interesting than Santa Barbara?). I throw out a drawly and entirely inappropriate "you look fiiiiine" every so often. Unfortunately, not all that many people have seen Hedwig...

But musicals? I love musicals.

It took me a moment to place that line (although I'm sure if you'd done the voice it would have been easier). Now I'm giggling uncontrollably thinking about the gummy-bear monologue. Heehee! Smork!

Crap and balls. You have just reminded me that I have to return this movie today and I've neither re-watched it, nor even attempted to watch the other movie I rented. Curse you, end of the quarter.
