Temperature: 77 Fahrenheit.
Humidity: 66%.
Sixty-six percent.
It explains why my flesh is melting and dripping off the edges of my chair.
Posted by dianna at September 7, 2004 01:05 PMthat's nothing. try 85 degrees farenheit with 90% humidity in smelly, polluted NYC...god awful...makes a NYC winter not seem so horrible.
but my sympathies for the random CA weather, totally unacceptable.
Posted by: adrienne at September 7, 2004 01:26 PMI've been so completely shown up I don't even have a snappy response. Or a wilty response, for that matter. 85/90 is horrible. Why do so many people live there?
Posted by: Dianna at September 7, 2004 01:47 PMi don't know...i guess NYC has a few redeeming qualities to make up for the weather, go figure :)
you are totally allowed to complain - that is not acceptable CA weather, i would be complaining too...but right now that weather sounds like a paid vacation for us new yorkers.
Posted by: adrienne at September 7, 2004 02:41 PMI'm picturing a mass exodus of sweaty New Yorkers to the West Coast, and it's scary.
When I was a kid in LA I always wondered why people back East saw California as such a temperate paradise, since it was so godawfully hot. I wasn't counting on humidity, but it makes a lot more sense now that I am. I'll take 95 with 30% humidity over 85 with 90% any day.
Posted by: Dianna at September 7, 2004 04:04 PMI was going to play the Massachusetts card, but it seems the NYC card has already been dealt and played. I fold.
